As my little monitoring project has outgrown what I at first thought it would be, some time ago I tightened some screws on its backup process -- or, actually, the restore part.

As my home monitoring experiment has become such celebrity and as it has so much going on, I'm trying to make sure I won't ever lose its configuration and data, no matter what would happen. Here's some tips and reminders for you, too.
