About two months ago I added our recently bought air conditioner to Zabbix monitoring by utilising MQTT. Reading values is nice and mandatory for monitoring, but can we also send commands to air conditioner using Zabbix? Yes.

I have lost the count exactly when, but couple of major iOS/macOS versions ago Apple's Siri gained the Shortcuts application. It allows you to automate all kinds of stuff and do some drag-and-drop 'programming'.
